A man armed with a knife was fatally shot by a police officer at St. Louis Lambert International Airport near the light rail line connecting to Terminal 1 outside the security checkpoint. The man had refused to leave a restricted area and kept advancing despite officers' attempts to use Tasers, leading one officer to discharge their firearm. The St. Louis County Police Department is investigating the incident, which caused a temporary shutdown of the rail line and no other injuries were reported.
