Mexican authorities confirmed the death of Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, the leader of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel, during a military raid in Tapalpa.The drug lord carried a $15M bounty from the USA and was a primary target for international trafficking of fentanyl and cocaine.Following the operation, cartel members launched retaliatory attacks and established burning road blockades across several states including Jalisco and Michoacán.Governor Pablo Lemus Navarro declared a state of emergency as violence disrupted international travel and forced the closure of airports and schools.
