Russell Brand Pleads Not Guilty to New Rape and Sexual Misconduct

Russell Brand pleaded not guilty to two new charges of rape and sexual assault during a hearing at Southwark Crown Court in London.The 50-year-old actor arrived at the court building wearing a leopard print shirt and carrying a Bible following his recent conversion to Christianity.He already faces a trial scheduled for June concerning five other counts of sexual offences involving four women between 1999 and 2005.A hearing is set for next month to determine if the new allegations from 2009 will be joined with the existing proceedings initiated by Channel 4.
