Ksenia Efremova became the new junior world number one after defeating Ekaterina Tupitsyna 6-3, 7-5 to win the Australian Open girls' singles title in Melbourne.The 16-year-old is the first French player to win a junior Grand Slam since 2020 and plans to use this momentum to break into the top 200 of the WTA rankings.Following her victory at Rod Laver Arena, Ksenia Efremova celebrated with coach Vladimir Platenik while looking ahead to a potential wild card entry for Roland-Garros.
