Donald Trump Withholds Federal Funds From Sanctuary Jurisdictions

Donald Trump announced at the Detroit Economic Club that the federal government will halt funding to sanctuary cities and states across the USA starting February 1, 2026.The DOJ designated 11 states and 18 cities for non-cooperation with immigration enforcement as the administration expands prior threats to cut resources.Additional measures include revoking citizenship for immigrants convicted of fraud in Minnesota and addressing immigrant-related costs in California.
