Mexican military forces killed Nemesio Rubén Oseguera Cervantes, the leader of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel, during an operation supported by USA intelligence under Donald Trump.The death of the drug lord sparked immediate retaliation across 20 states where cartel members burned hundreds of vehicles and established armed roadblocks.At least 30 people died during the subsequent clashes, including seven members of the National Guard and investigative officer Mario Fernando Tejeda Medina.President Claudia Sheinbaum confirmed the success of the mission as the nation faces travel warnings ahead of the FIFA World Cup.
