Character.AI and Google have reached settlements with families after lawsuits alleged their chatbots contributed to teen self-harm and suicide.The parties notified a Florida federal court of a mediated agreement in principle to resolve claims including the case of 14-year-old Sewell Setzer III.Following the legal challenges, the platform banned minors and Google finalized a 2.7 billion dollar deal to hire founders Noam Shazeer and Daniel De Freitas.
