Pakistan launched airstrikes in Afghanistan targeting Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan and Islamic State Khorasan hideouts after a suicide bombing in Islamabad killed 31 people.Attaullah Tarar stated the operation killed 70 militants, but Quraishi Badloon reported that residential areas were hit, killing 17 people including 11 children.The Afghan Ministry of Defense condemned the strikes as a violation of sovereignty while Attaullah Tarar urged the international community to enforce the Doha Agreement against the Taliban.
