Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor will not face a criminal investigation after the Met Police said it will take no further action over reports he asked his taxpayer-funded protection officer to probe Virginia Giuffre.A review found no new evidence of criminality or misconduct and police said they would not reopen inquiries into historic allegations linked to Jeffrey Epstein or to media reports such as “Mail on Sunday” and “The Telegraph”.The decision closes a years-long chapter of scrutiny, leaves the allegations unproven without charges at this stage, and prompted criticism from Giuffre’s family; Giuffre reportedly died by suicide earlier this year.
