Volker Türk Accuses Israel of Ethnic Cleansing at UN Council Meet

Volker Türk accused Israel of seeking permanent demographic changes and ethnic cleansing in the West Bank during a UN session in Geneva.The UN High Commissioner for Human Rights noted that new policies under Binyamin Netanyahu have displaced 32,000 residents while facilitating settler land purchases.While Volker Türk also condemned Hamas for war crimes and hostage abuse, he highlighted that 1,020 Palestinians have been killed in the West Bank since October 2023.
