Sweden is investing 3.5 billion SEK to boost its air and naval defense capabilities, including a new contract for the Iris-T air defense system and plans for four new warships.The Iris-T system, developed with Germany, Greece, Norway, Italy, and Spain, will protect against missiles, drones, and helicopters, while enhanced radar and other assets will support brigades in Northern Sweden.French Defense Minister Catherine Vautrin noted deepening cooperation with France, highlighting the inclusion of a French frigate and recent agreements like France's purchase of GlobalEye radar aircraft.
