The NWS confirmed a tornado struck the Memorial Northwest neighborhood in Harris County, causing severe damage to more than 100 homes and significant destruction at the Harris County Emergency Services campus. Drone footage and images shared by the Harris County Precinct 3 constable's office and the Cy-Fair Fire Department depicted widespread devastation, prompting residents to avoid the dangerous area. Authorities advised continued caution as more severe thunderstorms are possible as the cold front moves through and maintained that resident safety remains the top priority.
