Julian Alcala pleaded guilty to 20 counts of deprivation of rights under color of law after illegally searching the phones of 20 women for nude photos and videos during traffic stops.Alcala used insurance or registration checks as a pretense to seize the phones, took them to his vehicle without a warrant, and used his own phone to photograph the images he found, including sending one video to himself.The FBI investigated after a victim reported the incident, and the Florissant Police Department stated Alcala resigned after being informed of the investigation.
