Mickey Rourke Team Pauses GoFundMe After Video Rebuff
Mickey Rourke’s team paused a GoFundMe that raised over $100,000 after Rourke posted a video rejecting the fundraiser and urging donors to get refunds. The campaign was started by members of his management team to cover nearly $60,000 in unpaid rent, and Kimberly Hines said she fronted money, arranged movers and a U-Haul, and secured a Koreatown apartment as landlords planned to change the locks. The eviction dispute centers on a Beverly Grove rental that Rourke says jumped from $5,200 to $7,000 a month, while Hines says he is still turning down film and photoshoot offers that do not meet his goal of about $200,000 per day.
