The Berliner Verkehrsbetriebe (BVG) has reported a reliability rate of 97.6% for Berlin's subway system last week, the highest rate this year.The company plans to improve its long-term target to 99% and will receive 140 new JK model trains for the U1 to U4 lines by the end of the year, while training continues for new J model vehicles intended for the U5 to U9 lines with operations starting in Spring 2026.BVG also aims to restore the U2 line's four-minute service interval by mid-January, following recent disruptions and improvements largely seen on the U1 to U4 lines.
