UN Accuses Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo's Forces of Genocide in Sudan

A UN fact-finding mission concluded that the Rapid Support Forces committed genocide in Sudan after an 18-month siege of El Fasher specifically targeted the Zaghawa and Fur ethnic groups.The report, led by Mohamed Chande Othman, detailed systematic mass killings, sexual violence, and the poisoning of water wells that have displaced over 14 million people since 2023.Following these findings, Yvette Cooper and other international leaders called for an expanded arms embargo and accountability for militia leader Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo.
