Francis of Assisi Bones Displayed for First Time in History

The mortal remains of Francis of Assisi are on public display for the first time in history at the Basilica of Saint Francis to mark the 800th anniversary of his death.More than 400,000 pilgrims have already registered for the monthlong exhibition in Italy which features the medieval saint's bones preserved in a high-security nitrogen-filled case.Valter Stoppini and Marco Moroni oversaw the logistics for the event as the city manages a 30% rise in tourism following the recent canonization of Carlo Acutis.
