Governor Kathy Hochul and Mayor Sean Ryan are calling for a comprehensive federal investigation after the death of Nurul Amin Shah Alam.The 56-year-old nearly blind refugee from Myanmar was found dead on Tuesday after being missing for five days in freezing weather.US Customs and Border Protection agents had dropped him at a Tim Hortons in Buffalo following his release from an Erie County jail last week.While authorities ruled the death health-related, officials described the decision to abandon a vulnerable man who spoke little English as a "dereliction of duty."
