Tributes Pour in After Hungarian Director Béla Tarr Dies at 70
Tributes are pouring in for Béla Tarr after the Hungarian Filmmakers' Association confirmed the acclaimed director died at age 70 following a serious illness.Known for bleak, existential epics like "Sátántangó", Tarr gained international recognition for his signature long sequence shots and stark black-and-white cinematography.The filmmaker won the Silver Bear at the Berlin International Film Festival in 2011 for "The Turin Horse" before retiring from feature filmmaking.
