World Curling has introduced emergency spot checks and extra officials after Marc Kennedy was accused of cheating during a match against Sweden at the 2026 Winter Olympics.The Swedish team, led by Niklas Edin and Oskar Eriksson, alleged that Marc Kennedy touched the granite stone after its release during the 8-6 victory for Canada.Marc Kennedy denied the accusations and claimed the Swedish team had a premeditated plan to film his deliveries, while he also received a warning for using expletives.Switzerland later echoed these concerns following a 9-5 win over Canada, with Pablo Lachat-Couchepin claiming to have seen similar rule violations during the game.
