Miami Reaches Title Game After Late Rally vs Ole Miss

Miami earned a national championship berth after finishing a late 75-yard drive with Carson Beck’s 3-yard scramble touchdown with 18 seconds left to beat Ole Miss 31-27 at the Fiesta Bowl in Glendale, Arizona.The Hurricanes overcame penalties, missed chances, a missed field goal and an interception at the Ole Miss 15, then knocked down Trinidad Chambliss’ final heave after he had put the Rebels ahead on a late touchdown pass to Dae’Quan Wright.The win sends Miami (13-2) back to South Florida for the title game at Hard Rock Stadium and caps an old-school push under Mario Cristobal, while Ole Miss’ run under new coach Pete Golding followed Lane Kiffin’s departure for LSU.
