Tarique Rahman's Party Wins Historic Bangladesh Election

Bangladesh Nationalist Party secured a landslide victory in the first national elections since the 2024 student uprising, winning over 200 of the 300 parliamentary seats.The USA Embassy in Dhaka congratulated Tarique Rahman on the historic win as he prepares for the premiership after 17 years of self-imposed exile in London.Voters also approved the July Charter referendum for constitutional reforms, including a ten-year limit for Prime Ministers to prevent future authoritarian rule.
