Northwestern hired Chip Kelly as its offensive coordinator on Tuesday, just one month after the Las Vegas Raiders fired him during a dismal NFL season.Kelly returns to college football to lead an offense that ranked last in the Big Ten after a brief stint in the NFL where the Raiders struggled with a 2-9 record.Head coach David Braun praised the hire as a program-defining move as the team prepares to open the new $850 million Ryan Field next season.
