Giovanni Franzoni secured his second World Cup victory by winning the downhill race on the Streif course in Kitzbuhel on January 24, 2026.The Italian skier finished with a time of 1:52.31, narrowly defeating Marco Odermatt by 7 hundredths of a second and Maxence Muzaton to claim the podium.This emotional triumph follows a recent win in the Wengen super-G and was dedicated to his late friend Matteo Franzoso who passed away one year ago.
