Skatteverket is launching a new digital declaration service for the 2026 tax season while simultaneously retiring its mobile application used by 1.1 million people.Johan Schauman from the Swedish Tax Agency stated the transition aims to modernize electronic services and ensure the efficient use of taxpayer funds.While the new platform initially only supports simple approvals, individuals requiring tax deductions must continue using the older web-based e-service.
