Dozens of people are presumed dead after a fire engulfed the Le Constellation bar in the Swiss ski resort of Crans-Montana during New Year celebrations.Approximately 100 others were injured in the blaze, which follows a December 2025 nightclub fire in India that killed 25 people.The tragedy adds to a long history of venue disasters, including the 1942 Cocoanut Grove fire in Boston that killed 492 people.
