Donald Trump and Masoud Pezeshkian have authorized high-level nuclear negotiations between the USA and Iran scheduled for February 6 in Istanbul.Special envoy Steve Witkoff will meet with Abbas Araghchi following mediation by Turkey, Egypt, Qatar, and Oman to prevent further military escalation.The talks occur after a period of intense tension including USA airstrikes on Iranian nuclear sites and domestic unrest within Iran.
