U.S. Reduces Proposed Tariffs on Italian Pasta Makers

Donald Trump significantly reduced proposed trade tariffs on Italian pasta producers after a preliminary review by the Department of Commerce.Authorities lowered the duty for La Molisana to 2.26 percent and Pastificio Lucio Garofalo to 13.98 percent following diplomatic efforts from Giorgia Meloni and the EU.The decision provides relief to the Italian food industry which exported pasta worth approximately 800 million dollars to the USA last year.
