Linnea Rehn Wittskog Warns of Persistent Sweden Cold Snap
Linnea Rehn Wittskog from the Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute reports that Sweden has experienced four national ice days during the first week of February. These rare events occur when every weather station in the country remains below freezing for twenty-four hours due to a stable high-pressure system.Meteorologists expect the freezing conditions to continue until at least mid-February with only slight chances of milder air reaching the southern coast.
