Prakazrel "Pras" Michel, Grammy-winning rapper and member of the Fugees, was sentenced to 14 years in prison for involvement in a billion-dollar scandal funneling money into Barack Obama's 2012 campaign. Prosecutors said Michel funneled over $120 million from Malaysian billionaire
Jho Low into the campaign, violating US laws, and attempted to interfere with the
Justice Department investigation.
The trial included testimonies from Leonardo DiCaprio and Jeff Sessions, and Michel was ordered to pay $65 million in restitution with plans to appeal the sentence.
