Google asks a court to enjoin SerpApi from further bypassing its SearchGuard protections and to destroy the technology used for unauthorized scraping, following its December suit alleging the data-scraping firm illegally extracted and sold copyrighted Search content.Google alleges that SerpApi used “deceptive means” to mask hundreds of millions of automated queries as human users through fake browsers and rotating IP addresses, and notes that Reddit sued SerpApi last October for similar practices.
