The Integrated Food Security Phase Classification announced Gaza is no longer classified as being in famine after a large increase in humanitarian and commercial aid following an October ceasefire, following its August finding that parts of Gaza had been in famine.The IPC warned most people still face high levels of acute food insecurity, that North Gaza, Gaza Governorate, Deir al-Balah and Khan Younis could slip back into famine by mid-April next year if fighting resumes or supplies are halted, and humanitarian actors including Antoine Renard, Bushra Khalidi and residents urged sustained, expanded aid.
