SVT Cuts 355M Kronor as Anne Lagercrantz Blames Government

SVT has announced a 355M kr savings plan for 2026 after the departure of TV4 from the terrestrial network increased infrastructure costs by 192M kr.CEO Anne Lagercrantz warned that programming funds are being diverted to maintain national crisis systems while former TV4 leader Jan Scherman criticized the move as a tactical threat against the government.The budget reduction has resulted in the suspension of the "Carina Bergfeldt" talk show and potential layoffs despite Culture Minister Parisa Liljestrand highlighting a 49B kr long-term allocation.
