Anderson Cooper Leaves CBS 60 Minutes to Focus on CNN and Family Under New Leadership

Anderson Cooper will depart "60 Minutes" after nearly two decades to focus on his roles at CNN and spend more time with his young children.The exit follows a period of internal change at CBS News under editor-in-chief Bari Weiss, who was recently appointed by owner David Ellison.Although his final regular appearance occurred in February, the journalist will remain with the program through the end of the broadcast season in May 2026.Anderson Cooper plans to continue anchoring "Anderson Cooper 360" and producing his podcast "All There Is" under his long-term contract with CNN.
