Investigators Search for DNA Evidence After Fatal Colorado Mountain Lion Attack
Colorado wildlife officials euthanized two mountain lions following a suspected fatal attack on a female hiker near the community of Glen Haven.Hikers discovered the woman on the Crosier Mountain trail Thursday and used rocks to drive a lion away before a physician in the group confirmed she had no pulse.Colorado Parks and Wildlife closed several trailheads and initiated necropsies to confirm which animal was responsible for the first fatal attack in the state since 1999.
