F.A., a 45-year-old Peruvian man who worked at a restaurant in Rome's historic center, has been arrested and charged with rape and kidnapping after investigators linked him to an attack reported recently.The 24-year-old Colombian tourist says she lost her way back to her hotel and ran out of mobile data, accepted his offer to use the restaurant's Wi-Fi, was given alcoholic drinks, was taken to a pub and then returned to the closed restaurant where she was allegedly raped, locked in and escaped when the attacker was briefly distracted before reporting the assault to a local police patrol that helped lead to an arrest order from the Tribunal of Rome and his transfer to Rebibbia prison pending legal proceedings.
