Castillo's "The Quinta's Ghost" and John Kelly's "Retirement Plan", while the Academy's 15-film international shortlist features Iraq's The President’s Cake and Norway's Sentimental Value; nomination voting opens Jan 12 and the 98th Academy Awards are scheduled for March 15 next year.
