Paul Doyle has been sentenced to 21.5 years in prison after driving his mini-van into crowds at Liverpool’s Premier League title parade in May, injuring more than 130 people. The sentencing at Liverpool Crown Court follows Doyle’s guilty pleas last month to 31 counts, and Judge Andrew Menary described trial footage as "truly shocking" while prosecutors said Doyle deliberately accelerated into groups "time and time again."Victims, including
Anna Bilonozhenko and
Susan Farrell, gave statements describing lasting physical and psychological harm, and authorities said they will continue to support those affected.
